Cinema 4D Render Farm FAQ

How much does the Cinema 4D render farm cost compared to upgrading my hardware?

Cinema 4D rendering on RebusFarm is charged per actual render time, so there is no upfront hardware investment. Upgrading local hardware requires significant spending on GPUs for Redshift or Octane or powerful CPUs for CPU renderers, plus electricity and maintenance costs. For occasional projects, peak workloads, or tight deadlines, a render farm is more cost-efficient, while permanent hardware upgrades make sense only for non-stop daily rendering.

Which Cinema 4D versions and render engines (Physical, Redshift, Octane) are supported?

RebusFarm supports production-ready Cinema 4D versions commonly used in professional pipelines. Supported render engines include the native Physical Renderer, Redshift (GPU), Octane (GPU), Arnold, Corona, and V-Ray. Alpha or beta Cinema 4D versions are not recommended, and exact version availability should be confirmed before submitting critical jobs.

How fast will my Cinema 4D project render on RebusFarm vs. my local machine?

RebusFarm accelerates Cinema 4D rendering by processing frames in parallel across multiple render nodes. Projects that take many hours or days on a single workstation are completed much faster on the farm. Final performance depends on scene complexity, render engine, selected priority, and current farm load.

How to upload and start rendering Cinema 4D projects with the RebusFarm plugin?

Rendering is started using the RebusFarm Farminizer plugin integrated directly into Cinema 4D. The plugin packages project files, textures, and caches, checks for missing assets, and prepares the scene for submission. Once the project is uploaded, the rendering process can be managed via the RebusFarm ControlCenter. Completed frames are automatically downloaded to the assigned local folder.

What happens if my Cinema 4D render fails or looks different from locally?

Differences usually occur due to missing assets, incorrect file paths, or plugin and engine version mismatches. Review the render logs, confirm all textures and caches are included with relative paths, and ensure local and farm versions match. If issues persist, RebusFarm support can help identify compatibility or configuration problems.
